Please find below the details of the SCMB Scholarship

The SCMB scholarship covers 50% of the tuition fees payable for the minimum number of units required to complete the program by the student who is awarded the scholarship, for three semesters.

The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and reward students from studying the Master of Biotechnology program, Master of Bioinformatics program and the Master of Molecular Biology program at The University of Queensland.

An applicant will be considered for the scholarship, if the applicant.

  • Submits an application to the SIEC, by the closing date* for applications.
  • Student should be a citizen of; and achieved a GPA (or overseas equivalent) of 80% over 7 semesters of undergraduate studies or 75% over 8 semesters of undergraduate studies at a higher education institution in; and is able to commence as an international student in Australia on a student visa.

The Scholarship is awarded to the applicant showing greatest merit as demonstrated by

  • Academic achievement in undergraduate studies; and strength of interest demonstrated in biotechnology and/or molecular biology; and
  • Personal qualities, including leadership potential; and any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant to the applicant’s future professional success in biotechnology or molecular biology.

Swinburne New Masters scholarships for students

Scholarships of up to $6000 will be awarded and will be based on academic merit and work experience.

Swinburne International is pleased to announce a new scholarship program for students who commence at Swinburne in 2013. The new 2-year Masters Scholarships will be awarded to selected high-achieving students who apply for a Masters by coursework program with a duration of 92 weeks or more.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students must be eligible for a full offer for a Master by coursework program. Students with conditional offers are not eligible
  • Students must commence their eligible Masters program in 2013
  • Students must accept the scholarship offer within 2 weeks of offer date
  • Selected program must be registered on CRICOS for a minimum of 92 weeks

Students must not be:

  • A citizen or permanent resident of Australia
  • In receipt of another form of scholarship or reduced fee arrangement.

Students will automatically be assessed for a scholarship when applying for an eligible program at Swinburne.

Students will get $2000/$2500 Study Credit Grant for Bachelor and PG programmes respectively, and eligible students can even apply for Merit Scholarship worth $4000.University of Wales students for April / June intake will be eligible for UOW Education Grant of $4000 and will not be eligible for Study Credit Grant.
