Scope of Australia Immigration

This visa allows you and dependents included in your visa application to live as permanent residents in Australia.
As a permanent resident of Australia, you can:

Live and work in Australia on a permanent basis
Study in Australia at school, Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector or university
Receive subsidized healthcare through Medicare and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
Access certain social security payments (subject to waiting periods)

Summary of Australia Migration

Applications are by invitation only. To be invited to apply, a person must:

Submit an Expression of Interest
Have an occupation that is on the relevant skilled occupation list
Have suitable skills assessment for that occupation
Be less than 50 years of age when the invitation is issued
Meet the English language requirements
Be able to score at least 60 on the points test

Expression of interest is submitted through Skill Select. This can be done from anywhere. If you are invited to apply for this visa you need to lodge an application within 60 days. Skill select has been designed to resolve the current skill shortages of Australia. You have to score 60 points in the following categories to get the visa
Age, Qualification , Work Experience, English Language ability , Partner Skills, Australia Study and/ Or Work Experience , Community Language
